Description
Tadalafil (Cialis) is a medication used for both enlarged prostate and erectile dysfunction. Dosing depends on age, tolerance, and response to the medication.
- Used for the treatment of signs and symptoms associated with an enlarged prostate
- For individuals also experiencing erectile dysfunction, tadalafil may be used to treat both conditions as a single therapy
- Typical dosing for enlarged prostate is 5 mg once daily taken at the same time every day without regard to sexual activity
- For men 65 years and older, 5 mg is recommended for initial dosing and 2.5 mg for those with poor kidney function
- Can be taken with or without food and may not split tablets
- May cause dizziness and low blood pressure when taken with alcohol
